The 2017 UNC Charlotte BRIDGES Application is now closed. Thank you for your interest.
The Application Process
Speak with your department head or manager about support for attending the BRIDGES program. Apply for consideration by the UNC Charlotte BRIDGES Selection Committee.
The UNC Charlotte application asks you to attach a current resume or curriculum vita and a statement that describes:
- your responsibilities and supervisory experience, especially some of the challenges you face in your position
- why you want to participate in BRIDGES and how participating in BRIDGES will help you develop as a leader
Once the UNC Charlotte BRIDGES Selection Committee receives all applicants, it will choose the top candidates from across campus.
Notes on Selection:
The Provost has committed to sponsoring at least one woman annually from Academic Affairs. The committee will forward one choice from Academic Affairs to the Provost’s office for funding.
The committee will also notify other University divisions of strong applicants and request these units support their formal application to the UNC Chapel Hill BRIDGES Executive Committee.
All candidates selected by UNC Charlotte must officially apply to the BRIDGES Executive Committee in Chapel Hill. Selection at UNC Charlotte does not guarantee admission at the Chapel Hill level. All selected candidates must submit a final BRIDGES application by May 4, 2017. The UNC Chapel Hill BRIDGES Executive Committee then selects a group of BRIDGES participants from Colleges and Universities across North Carolina.
